October 10: #82
Sunday and a return to the cooler weather of spring. We headed into Guildford for breakfast and a wander round. For the first time in forever, we wandered over the road to a row of shops that had not long been opened.
And yes I failed in the no buying anything except out of a supermarket thing. But I found a Tibetan singing bowl that was extremely well priced (about half of what I had found elsewhere - including e-bay). Given I had been looking for one for about a year, I decided to purchase it. Glorious resonance and I shall use it as sound therapy... let me explain what I mean.
A couple of years ago I went through a full moon gong therapy session. Basically you lie down inside a teepee on the night of the full moon, and the gong therapists use didgeridoo, gongs and singing crystal bowls to put you into a meditative state. It had been recommended for my insomnia and a way of dealing with the stress of my rather hectic life. I slept well for the 2 weeks following the session - anyway, what I also felt was the sound penetrating my many injury points - like deep ultrasound which is used to heal in normal clinical situations. My injuries tingled for days. So - that's where I came across them, and that is why I felt the need to obtain one.
