The 100 Day Challenge Program Days: XC - LXXXI Assessing your initial forays
The 100 Day Challenge Program
Days 90 - 81
Asessing your initial forays
Review your plan and make changes where necessary
*******************************
"The bravest sight in the world is to see a great man struggling against adversity" so said Seneca. Now that the first "X" days of your campaign are over, you will have discovered many things about yourself.
You may well have received some major successes - which will have buoyed you. But I fear some may have suffered from self doubt and maybe failure during this time. Understand this is to be expected at the beginning of a new campaign. Remember the key to the challenge lies not just in thinking about what will happen at the end of the 100 day challenge, be aware of the whole - yes, because it is essential to know the ultimate goal, but to take each single day and use it wisely.
Carpe diem
"Rejoice while you are alive, enjoy the day, live life to the fullest, make the most of what you have, it is later than you think"
We have but XC days left to end of AD 2010 it is time to assess your initial forays.
Exercises / Action Activities:
*******************************
Review your first 10 days.
Jim Rohn called this process "re-winding the tapes" and I would recommend that today you play back the last 10 days (the first 10 days of the challenge).
You should have made a note of each day's activities, either in your workbook, diary or notebook. Remember if you write it down you don't have to trust your memory. What worked for you? What didn't work? What changes will you need to make so this next 10 days will allow you to move forwards faster/ more easily?
If I were to be honest, my training schedule took a beating over the last 10 days - due to a complete lack of energy. Whilst I trained every other day, it doesn't seem like it was enough. Truth be told I am burning the candle at both ends, which means of course the wax is falling all over the floor. So my challenge over the next 10 days will be to find ways of getting more energy by balancing my massive workload which will allow me to train better / harder.
Change your schedule where necessary.
As you have gathered, my timeline is pretty tight already and as I don't spend much (if any time) watching the television there isn't much room to manoeuvre. But I do need to check my sleeping time is adequate, and if I can find a way of pulling in a little more exercise as well. As we move towards the hotter months, being able to walk in the early mornings when it is cool is a great way of doing this, but I need to start thinking about laying down the pattern now so it is 2nd nature by the time that happens.
Elle's 100 day challenges:
- Have you kept up with my personal challenges? The most interesting one perhaps is keeping a very tight lid on my spending behaviour. It can be so easy to get into the habit of buying "stuff" - for me coffee, the occassional bought out lunch and the odd item from the 2nd hand stores that seem to be crammed with designer clothes people can no longer get into (thank you) - but it's been a way to decide if I really do need "it" or not, and the answer is usually - not. I am however making a note of everything I will need to think about after this challenge is finished. But - so far, so good. http://www.motivateme.info/100-days-challenge/
- Discarding 100 things in 100 days - there are now 11 items in the gallery and the first load of non-destroy stuff has been taken to the charity / thrift stores http://www.motivateme.info/discarding-100-things/
Your next 100 day challenge e-mail will be with you in 10 days time, until then my challengers tis time to prepare for our battle against procrastination.
