September 23rd: Day 99
Normal working day today, except half way to "work" (as in my day job) I thought in my fried brain state of trying to do too much yesterday that I had in fact forgotten to do something. Turns out I needn't have panicked, I did have the necessary files with me. First panic of the day over.
Taking my laptop back to the fixers and menders again, VISTA is going I've had enough - now it won't let me move files through window's explorer. For someone who's lifeline and business needs stable computing power base, my laptop has been MIA for nearly 3 months of this year already. Thank goodness I have a new netbook and a borrowed "spare" laptop to work on. It's like having to have a second car in the garage just in case the one you normally drive blows up on the way to work every other week. Frustrating to say the least. But we launched the 100 day challenge yesterday, the computer sort of held up, and so far there have been no screams of outrage from those who have accepted the challenge at the amount of homework I'm expecting everyone to do, so that's a good thing. So what about my own challenges:
- Today's image has been loaded into the picture gallery
- 3.5km lunch time walk completed. Several things - must remember to change into gym gear and trainers before heading out. Walking in the heat of a Perth spring, in business style wear, including today a stylish but black wool jumper, patterned stockings and 1 inch heeled shoes was probably NOT a good idea as I had to walk around the office barefoot for the remainder of the afternoon.
- No ad-hoc spending: As you know, the other major challenge for me is of course - no ad-hoc spending. So being able to walk without carrying bags and certainly without the need to take money made the walk so much more enjoyable let me tell you.
- And now, this post has been added ... go me
After yesterday's marathon 16 hour working day I will head home, at this stage I haven't decided whether or not to go to the gym, but the computer will be staying off tonight.
