September 29: #93 - First week down
Just this time last week we re-launched the 100 day challenge, amazing how fast time goes by, which I think is the biggest problem. We can get so caught up in the detritus of day-to-day living we forget the things we said we were going to do and then beat ourselves up as a result.
A couple of suggestions:
Make an appointment with yourself using your online calendar / mail system. If you use Outlook Calendar for example you can set yourself a time slot every day - this may work for you if all else fails. Or use your watch / phone for the same purpose.
Try and use set times - this may be classed as the same as the suggestion listed above, but can be different. For example, if your challenge is to read a chapter of a book each day and you find yourself getting to bed time without doing so, then you might like to change your routine so that is now part of it. Have a shower, get jammied then go and sit in your favourite chair and read. Or if mornings are more your thing, set the alarm for 10 - 15 minutes earlier, get up, make yourself a cup of tea and read. If you say something is important to you - then make it so.
- Exercise / Weight Loss : I seem to have eaten way too much today. Probably not a good idea to weigh myself tomorrow :-(
- Incidental exercise : 30 minute walk at lunch time
- Ad-hoc spending : None
- Motivating you : The picture is in the gallery for the discarding 100 items in 100 days, and I need to send you today's edition of the Daily Dose of Motivational Medicine which I hope will inspire you just a little.
