2011 100 Day Challenge - Day 1/100: 22nd September - Start your day with a win

It is important when beginning the 100 day challenge to ensure your day starts with a "win"

  • Make sure you fill in your work book,
  • Answer the questions on the sheet
  • Consider the statements and affirmations and ask "how can these impact on my life TODAY?"
  • Go to work immediately on your daily action steps.

So for instance - one of my goals is to be able to run 5km by December 31st. It's not a lot of distance, but it is one thing I've wanted to re-learn how to do. I'm hoping my muscles remember quickly, but it is over 25 years since i was on the school track and field team. So we will see. My action step today was download a 5km running guide. I already have my track gear in the office as I have been using half my lunch break to power walk so I will begin the program today on Day 1, Workout 1 in my lunch break - it's not the right day on the guide, but that's not important - starting is. According to the running guide the whole process should take me no more than 30 minutes to complete, which works in nicely with my "spare" time.

The additional exercise will I hope, along with a re-vamped look at my diet allow me to lose the weight I want to lose by the end of the year. My goal is to hit the beach this summer, so the running will help.

How about you? Did you start today with a "win"?
