Today is the day
Welcome to today's issue of The Daily Dose of Motivational Medicine. The e-zine of Motivateme: Breaking the Procrastination Habit. http://www.motivateme.info. Have you signed up for your daily dose yet?

Why is today the day? Well today is a good day to go back over the last week and to decide whether or not you could have done things better than you did. Today is a good day to decide what you want the next 7 days to bring to you. Do you want good things to happen, then today is the day to plan your week so that those things can happen.
Today is also a good day to say thank you for all those things that you've received and the lessons you've had to learn this week. This week has been particularly hard for me, but there has been a lot of positives amongst the negatives.
The computers at work are back up and running after 2 days of down time. We managed to clean the office, giving it a breath of clean, fresh air. Consequently we are now able to focus on what is important rather than what is cluttering up our working lives.
I didn't do as well in the personal challenge as set by the gym as I had hoped, so it has been a good opportunity for me to spend some time to decide what I want to achieve during the next 12 weeks...which incidentally takes us up to Christmas....
So what have you decided? Are you going to use your time better next week than you did this? Are you going to make those phone calls that you have been putting off? What about those letters? Are you going to eat well and exercise better and more effectively than you did last week? Are you going to treat everyone with respect - including yourself? Are you going to work on your projects during this week? Only you can decide - and only you can decide to act. Because thought without action is merely dreaming.
Reflection is vital. Without knowing where you have been you cannot make the decisions about where you are planning on going in the near future let alone in the long term. So take time out today to reflect on what you have achieved so far, and tomorrow we can start making plans.
