saving the best til later

Welcome to today's issue of The Daily Dose of Motivational Medicine. The e-zine of Motivateme: Breaking the Procrastination Habit. http://www.motivateme.info. Have you signed up for your daily dose yet?
----------------------------------------------------------
Good Morning I hope this finds you well and looking forward to another day to advance the business of YOU inc.

A question for you on this bright and sunny day, do you save the best stuff for a later date?

Do you have "best china" or glassware that you only get out on a special occassion? Which begs further questions - How many special occassions have you used them?
What constitutes a special occassion?
What happens if that special occassion never turns up, or you get so worked up about using said "best" stuff, you don't enjoy the meal, the company or anything else - why? because you a too worried that something might happen to said "stuff".

And what of everything else that sits in your house waiting for that "special occassion". Those clothes that are gathering dust and smelling of moth balls, the perfume/aftershave that sits in a bottle waiting for an opportunity to make you smell beautiful. Or the undies that you bought for that "dirty" weekend that never happened.

Any occassion can be special....it's not the china you eat from or the clothes that you wear that makes an occassion special, but the attitude that you have.

You should also bear in mind that what you consider special someone else may not see the beauty of, so if you are planning on giving the china to the kids, make sure that they can see the value of it before you die - otherwise it might just end up being sold to an antiques shop, and the clothes given to the second hand clothing stores for "dress ups".

Accidents can and do happen, illness can strike anyone at anytime. Your partner may decide that they prefer someone who enjoys the moment, rather than waiting for the "right time" to arrive.

Today can be a special occassion - if you want it to be.

Invite the family over for dinner - if they turn up, then that is truly a special occassion. Wear your best perfume/aftershave to bed, it will make you go to sleep with a smile on your face....and if you are lucky enough to share your bed with someone then why not change those cotton pj's for the silk ones you bought and never wore. Go on - make two people happy.

So to finish today's thought for the day - please don't save the good stuff for some unknown time in the future - enjoy it today, after all it gave you pleasure to buy it, so why not appreciate it, after all that projected time/event may never arrive.
