Be like the child - Patient but persistent

"With time and patience the mulberry leaf becomes a silk gown"
Chinese Saying

Now I am not saying that we need to wait for ever in order to achieve our dreams, goals and ambitions - but we do need to be kind to ourselves - not to mention patient. Just as a child doesn't learn to walk the first time he stands on those strange protuberances sticking out below his/her well padded rear end, so we need to learn to deal with new situations and circumstances with patience and a good deal of humour

A child doesn't burst into tears every time his rump hits the floor, no he hardly thinks about it, he just knows that he didn't get it quite right last time - so he has another go. Whereas we - as adults - tend to rush ourselves. We want everything now, and if we don't manage it the first time we throw up our hands in despair and tell ourselves we didn't want it anyway. So learn patience and kindness towards yourself and you will be amazed at how much faster and easier you can do things..
