"Gratitude Log"
There are times when we may feel that we are spinning our wheels. The plans we put into place don't seem to be getting very far, and we might be tempted to throw in the towel.
Actually it is at exactly that point of giving up is the time we most need to stick to the plan. Because that is when the results are most likely to come.
But how do you stick to it when you don't think you are getting very far?
One of the things I have developed over the years is a "gratitude log" or celebration book - a book containing all the highs that have happened, all the successes, all the "wins" that have occurred. And when I am feeling a little down - I fish them out and start reading. You can keep a gratitude log, a celebration book or a journal. I keep both. In fact I have notebooks on just about everything. The problem with a journal is you may be tempted to write down all the "bad" stuff you've got happening in your life at the moment - and believe me, it is very easy to get mired in the negative.
So spend a few minutes each day and write down all the good things that have happened to you today. It might only be - the sun was shining and I got the washing dry, or the cute guy in the petrol station smiled at me this morning. You see the more time you spend on the positives, the less time and energy you will need to spend on the negative - because it is the positives that matter. Then when you might be tempted to wallow in self-pity (and believe me there will be days like those) you can read the best story of your life.
And the good thing about focusing on the positive, more positives come your way - it's called the Law of Attraction of LOA - and who doesn't need more good things happening to them?
So, what good things have happened to you today? Write them down and read them often.
