Planning & organization means you have to stop for a minute

Before you start your day, I would like you to stop what you are doing for a minute. Stopped? OK good, because now you shouldn't be reading this !!

Before you start your day's work I would like you to take a few minutes and ask yourself a couple of questions.

Do you know what today is going to look like? No I don't mean, what the weather is doing at the moment (where I am - the storm fronts are moving in) I mean - do you have your day planned? Yesterday I mentioned the to do lists but more importantly the "to don't lists". Today I would like you to take that one step further. Your to do list should take you towards your dreams, goals and ambitions. If your to do list is a "task list" ask which of those tasks are taking me towards my goal, or away from them. And then you have to ask yourself - is doing these tasks the best use of my time here today. Remember you only have one chance to live this day. Once gone it can never be gotten back again.

The next thing I want you to ask yourself is a subjective question.

Are you happy with where you are at this point in your life? Now I don't mean, you've just read the funniest joke and you're grinning like a demented rabbit. But are you "happy" or "contented" with what you have achieved so far, and will today's tasks fill you with positive feelings about where you are now, or will you get to the end of the day filled with dreary, negative filled thoughts about stringing your boss up by the toes?

If you are struggling to get through your days, I would suggest you are not yet fulfilling your "life's" purpose. Because when you are fulfilling your life's purpose, you won't want to go to bed, sleeping is a nuisance when you have so much you want to do. And when you do go to bed, you can't wait to get up again and start the day - you are filled with a buzz and an energy that draws people towards you. Everything you do takes you closer to fulfilling your life's purpose. And when that happens, things start to fall into place. People may call you "lucky" but luck has nothing to do with it. You are in the right place, right space and the right frame of mind to accept what you are being "shown" and more importantly you act on the impulses that you are given.

So how do you find your life's purpose...well the energy equation mentioned above is one of the best ways to know whether you are on the right track or not. The other way to determine what your life's purpose is - is to stop for a minute, and remember what it was you were doing when you were in the positive energy frame mentioned above.

For me, it is and always has been writing.... What is it for you?
