Planning ahead: To do lists

Do you have plans for the weekend? Or do you let things simply happen?

There are certain things that I know I have to do each weekend - like do the washing and fetch some groceries. But other than that - the rest I play by ear. I've found that living by to-do lists and the clock all week, makes me want to rebel over the weekend, find all the notepads and pens and stick them somewhere. My problem is - by not having a list of jobs that need doing, then I do forget to do some of them, so then I spend a frantic couple of hours on a sunday evening trying to do the ones that I conveniently forgot about. Consequently all my hard earned rest and recuperation goes out of the window.

So as much as I don't like to live my life with a series of post it notes stuck on my forehead - sometimes it is the only way to pace the tasks and allow yourself time to do those things we really want to do with your spare time.

It's a simple fact, that we can waste a lot of time simply by being busy.
