Feel good factor
What makes you "feel good?" No i'm not talking about the half a bottle of red wine and the block of chocolate you've just consumed, but those little things that make you smile? OK red wine and chocolate it is then !!
For me it is things like getting good feedback from a piece of written work I've created. Or finding out that someone learned something on a training course that I prepared and ran. Those times when someone complimented me on an outfit I happened to be wearing. But some of the best feelings are from simple gestures - a smile from a stranger, a kiss from a child, a rainbow arcing over the sky, a good cup of coffee, or a glass of wine and some chocolate. Go on create the feeling in your mind - this is your memory as well as mine.
Did you know you look stunning when you "feel good" about who you are and what you are. Frowns and depression conspire to make us look and feel old. When you feel good everyone knows it and they are drawn to you. In fact all good things are drawn to those people who "feel good" about themselves. People are more likely to want to spend time with you if you are feeling good about yourself. You are not spending every moment preening in front of the mirror - you don't have to. You could wear a black garbage bag on those days and you would look fantastic...if you've ever had those kind of days.
And if you've ever had those kind of days, you may notice that your luck will change too. Just today for instance I found some money on the pavement. It's also interesting that I only find money when I am feeling good about myself. It's as if - you are a magnet, and good things want to come your way. Now wouldn't it be interesting if we can cure all our problems - if only we were happy with ourselves....because we draw people to us. The Law of Attraction works in many interesting ways.
And of course the opposite is also true - if we are feeling down about ourselves we repel people who can help us. In fact we shut everything down, and nothing comes our way.
So how do you start feeling good about yourself?
Well your book of celebration is a good start. Stop what you are doing and spend a few quiet moments and write down all those good things that have happened to you.
And the second point is - do what you enjoy doing the most...for at least 5 minutes per day. It will make a huge difference to the way your day turns out.
And the final point is - SMILE and act as if you are enjoying yourself, until such time as you can really enjoy your own company.
