It's hard to be down when you're busy
Do you have trouble stopping your mind wandering into territories that it shouldn't? Do you worry about things you have no control over? Well it happens to the best of us, but one of the best ways to stop worry in its tracks is to get busy. And I mean really get busy - you must have old projects that you started and didn't finish (hey we're not called procrastinators for nothing you know), so pick one and keep at it until you've finished it. Then find another and another, sooner rather than later, you will find that your natural enthusiasm will come back and then you will be able to get on with doing what you were supposed to be doing.
And if you don't have any projects then get your cleaning clothes on and the scrubbing brush out. It took me 4 hours to clean my house on saturday afternoon - the physical act of cleaning wore me out physically and my mind was finally able to slow down long enough to appreciate the hard work.
When you spend as much time in your creative mind as I do, then the physical act of exercise or cleaning can be a much needed break for the mind.
