Technological Time Wasters

Do you have your email account open all day, every day? How about the internet?
Do your emails flash constantly with reminders advising that you haven't bought your Rolex or bottle of magic pills.
The availability of the Internet and how easily it is to spend hour after pointless hour searching for useless bits of information, and the social interaction sites that allow you to chat to your friends and acquaintances in 140 characters or less....it's called twitter BTW and yes I do use it (http://twitter.com) - so I can find out what the tech geeks et al are doing, but I hate to think how many other social interaction sites litter our working lives.
Well if you really do want to get more done, then you are going to have to limit these kinds of activities. Each break in concentration can take several more minutes to get back to where you were. So try it, turn the bits and bytes of software off that you don't need to do the job you are supposed to be doing, and see your productivity soar.
