Don't just share the bad times

It's amazing isn't it, we find it so easy to whinge and go on when all is not well in our worlds. We expect our "friends" to put up with the fact that we have had a "bad" day, and go on and on and on and on about small, insignifanct happenings in our daily lives.

Have you got friends who do the same to you? How do you feel after their marathon whingeathon? Up and ready to get stuck into the many projects or ready to dive into a bottle of something to deaden the pain?

Imagine if you could a room full of people who were new prospects and all they could hear was your "bad" day? How much business is going to come your way do you think? Not much I would hazard a guess. Well life is like that, we never know who will be talking about us and to whom. So why not get them to talk positively about you?

Do me a favour, today I would like you to only speak about the good things that have happened to you today. No room for bad comments today please. And if your friends try and turn it around, politely ask them what about the good things that happened today.

If you have a group of upbeat friends and acquaintances you are more likely to want to spend time with them, and they with you, so why not share the good times rather than the bad.
