Ideas are your currency

Imagine life without ideas. Your ideas, your friends ideas, your bosses ideas, your kids ideas - it doesn't matter who they belong to, if it means that someone elses life is going to be better for hearing about it.

Your creative self is full of ideas, some of them good, some of them downright silly, the problem is for most of the time, they are sitting in a cupboard gathering dust.

I'll do that when I have more time to devote to it
I'll do that when I have more money to develop it
I'll do that when I retire
I'll do that when the kids leave home
I'll do that when I leave home, the "old's" won't let me....

Every time you postpone / delay / put off / procrastinate over your ideas, every time you leave them to gather dust in the cupboard you are denying yourself a chance to grow, to share, to develop, to make a million or two, to allow other people to make a million or two, to change your life for the better.

Ideas are your currency, they can be used, they can be exchanged, they can be worth more than all the money in your bank account - because that's all that money is....an idea that something small, green and rectangular is "worth" what it says on it.

So start by getting a notebook that you can carry around with you. Start by writing down questions, start by writing down your ideas, how can you develop those ideas into something more tangible? You ask yourself questions. All the great thinkers, writers, scientists, philosophers, inventors, all started by questioning the world they currently live in. And always with the same question - how can I make that a better place for me to live in? And of course in doing so, how can that knowledge make this a better place for you to live in.

What are your ideas worth? They can be priceless. But unless they are used, they are worthless.
