Throwing in the towel
When you play sports, do you go with the intention of throwing the game? Of deliberately losing? I would hope not, after all what would be the point of turning up, getting changed and walking onto the pitch if that was the case.
But that is how most people live their lives. Half-hearted attempts, projects started but unfinished. Heads down, ready to throw in the towel when the going gets tough.
Would you get up on Christmas morning, kids waiting to open presents that "Santa" has brought, only to find that "santa" forgot to go shopping. Again, I would hope not. The beauty about things like Christmas is that there are deadlines and consequences for not doing those things that you need to do.
The question then has to be, how do you translate those things on your to do list into workable, believable things that you can achieve?
The answer is simple, work out the reasons you need to do them, and the consequences of failing. If you don't have enough reasons, then the consequences are inconsequential. So change those clutter items into things that do mean something to YOU and you will have no problem achieving your goals.
