Planning, preparation, to do lists

Yesterday we discussed some of the ways that you can get more out of every day:
The start of every day begins with the preparation you did yesterday. Organising clothes, school and work bags..before you go to sleep.
However there are a few other things that you need to consider doing before you hit the pillow.
1. Make time to exercise. Go for a walk after dinner, better still go for a walk whilst dinner is cooking (and can be safely left of course).
2, Make time for at least half an hour of you time. We are all (or so it seems) beholden to someone else. If we don't feel like we have any time to ourselves, we can get annoyed at giving our time to others.
3. Do your homework. Now this is not just for the kids out there who are at school. We all have homework. Get the important things done first. Pay any bills that need paying. Write cards and letters that need writing and sending. Do your chores. We all have them, so make sure the dishes are done, washing is away, dirty stuff is in the laundry etc etc. If you do these minor things as you go along, you won't have to spend ALL weekend playing catch up.
4. Organise your task list for tomorrow. What needs to be done. What has to be done and cannot wait. What is important, if you do the important then it rarely becomes important and urgent.
5. Do a brain dump of what worked well for you today. Write it down. Keeping a journal is an excellent way to quickly release those things that may be bothering you.
6. When you wake up - do a brain dump of all those things that occurred to you overnight. Believe me when I say - if you release the stuff that has been bothering you by writing it down, you can make space for the next round of information that needs to be processed.
7. Transfer anything to your task list that needs transferring. And put the task list in your bag for the morning.
It sounds like all this can take you hours, and you will have no time left over for "fun". Well everything I have just asked you to do can take you as little as 30 minutes, or as long as you want to spend on it.
