If it has taken you all your life to get you to where you are now, why do you think you can hope to sustain massive change if you don't learn the lessons of your past?
And that is where most people fail. It is not the massive changes that have the biggest impact, but the tiny decisions that we make each and every day. The tiny decisions that say:
- It's only a mars bar - I'm going to eat it and start the diet tomorrow.
- I'll start saving for my holiday after I'm paid again, I just have too much to buy until then.
- I'll write the business plan tomorrow, I'm not in the right frame of mind today.
- I don't want to go to the gym tonight I'm too tired.
- I don't want to do my homework I'd sooner talk to my friends, school work is boring and I can cram before the exam.
Each tiny decision that you are faced with is a chance to do something better, or to continue with the same practices that has led you to where you are right now.
oday you have another choice - you can let the past rule your future by:
- going over and over what has happened
- by repeating the same mistakes
Or you can draw a line in the sand and accept that you cannot change the past, but you can do something about your future, by making the right decisions today.
I'll speak to you tomorrow
