Ask and you may receive...

Do and you will certainly get what you said you wanted.

Much has been written in the press about asking for things and then "releasing" that want into the universe. And lo, sooner or later if you wish hard enough. The problem with this scenario is that the people who tell you about the "secret" is that you have to do whatever it takes in order to make sure those things come to you. ACTION - that word again. Dreaming without action = Delusion.

It's like wishing you could win the lottery and then not buying a ticket. Actually that's not a very good example, because statistically speaking you are more likely to get run over on the way to get your ticket than actually winning. But you see my point.

. You really cannot think youself thin, you still have to eat less than you currently are and exercise more in order to shift the fat.

. You cannot will your hand to pick up a glass of water and take a drink. Unless you have a straw in the glass, then you really are going to have to actually move your hand and pick up the glass. Alternatively of course you could always get someone else to do the work for you, but that as they say is another story.

You can have the best will in the world, but unless you are willing to do whatever it takes to get the result that you say you want then you will continue to have unrealised goals.

What do I mean by "Whatever it takes"? Well imagine that you were in a tunnel and the end had collapsed, and not only that but you were going to run out of air before the rescue team got to you unless you did your bit and started moving the rocks and the debris from your side....or are you going to sit back and wait for the people on the other side to do all the work, and hope they get to you in time?

Personally I would be moving the rocks....

Those "rocks" are actually those obstacles that we continue to place in our way. We say we want to lose weight yet we eat chocolate, and tell ourselves that it's only a bit and you can exercise it off tomorrow. Or it doesn't matter if you buy another pair of shoes - you can start saving for the holiday after the next pay check. You can make the phone calls tomorrow when you feel in the mood.

Get rid of the rocks.
