Measuring your progress is not just about numbers

Emotions and feelings are just as important as the actual numbers when you are measuring your progress.

How you feel on a particular day can make the difference between the glass half empty or glass half full concept. Some days when we are feeling particularly vulnerable it may even seem like everyone wants your glass as well as their own. It's usually on these kinds of days that we are more prone to procrastination than at any other time.

Why? I have noticed that when we feel good about who we are and what we have done so far, we will push that little bit harder. We forget to eat, we cross things off the list, we smile and we enjoy the process.

When we feel down, we are more likely to overeat. When we feel down we don't want to get off the couch and into the gym. We don't do as much as we could or know we should be doing.

So before you check the numbers check your emotions.
