What is today really about?
We have been given one opportunity to live today. Just one. 24 hours of untapped potential. How many of you woke up this morning excited about
a) waking up
b) being able to do amazing things with the next 18 or so hours before you go to bed again
c) going to work/school
d) earning money so that you can do what you want to do when you want to do it
e) being happy.
Or was the start of your day more akin to hatred and boredom? I don't want to get up, I don't want to go to school/work, I hate cold mornings, I hate the heat and the humidity, I just want to go back to sleep !!
Oh please.
I had an amazing weekend. A weekend of birthday's (unfortunately not mine), but three friends all celebrated their birthday's this weekend. It was a weekend of anticipation, a weekend where all the planning and preparation would finally culminate in the party to end all parties. But one thing that occurred to me in amidst all the running around is this. Every day is special. It doesn't have to be a special occassion to make the day unique and special in some way.
So before you dive back under the blanket and live your life in dream mode, think of the most outrageous thing you can do today, and go do it. Make today the day when you decided to live your life, rather than allowing life to drift past you in a haze of boredom.
