If you don't believe in yourself, who will?

Long term change can only occur when you begin to treat yourself with respect. And respect comes from a belief that you are willing to make the necessary changes to your life. It also comes from the belief that you are worthy of more than you currently have or have achieved to date.

But belief is not arrogance. If you treat yourself and those people around you in an arrogant way, then you have not grasped the first point - the respect that you need to have for yourself.

Belief is certainty. Belief says that you will do everything that you can, no matter what the challenges you think may lie ahead. Belief means that you will be able to handle whatever happens along the way.

Those people who don't believe in themselves are the people who are still troubled by the procrastination habit.

I can see light bulbs going off across the world.... yes it is as simple as believing in yourself, you see if you believe in yourself and your skills, abilities and know that you can handle whatever life throws at you, you will not be dogged by the fear of success - you know you are worthy of achieving the items on your goal list. You are not afraid of failure - the certainty that you have means that you know you will do whatever you can to achieve those items. And you are certainly not afraid of change. In order to achieve more, you need to question everything that you currently do, and ask - how can I do this better. Once you are willing to believe in yourself, you will start to achieve those things sitting on your goal list.

So, today's task - hint - in order to break the procrastination habit, you have to be willing to do as well as read ! I would like you to pull out that scrappy bit of paper you have your goals written on and then I need you to cross off those things that you don't believe you can achieve.

Of the ones that are left - I need you to ask yourself this - are those goals that are still on my list - are they "my" goals, or are  they someone elses desires for me?
The second round of questions that you must ask is this: Are the goals reliant on an outside force (such as winning the lottery), or someone else to do their part before you can do yours? Are you willing to wait for someone else to make a difference to the way your life turns out or should you modify the goal or the part you are willing to play in them. Once you weed out those things that do not inspire you and replace those things that you really want, then you can make real progress.

If you believe that anything is possible, then you will discover that it is.
