Use your travelling time effectively
Imagine being stuck with an extension to your journey you didn’t know about. Trains delayed, traffic jam caused by an accident you can’t yet see, planes diverted because of adverse weather conditions, buses having to stop at EVERY bus stop – you can either get annoyed about the delay. Or get busy. The choice as they say is yours. If you are adequately prepared for this kind of eventuality (otherwise known as opportunities in disguise after all you can’t do anything else), you can make these times work in your favour. Or you could fume, but that will hardly make planes fly faster, or cars drive through knots in traffic now can it?
So carry a notebook and pen wherever you go.
. You can spend the time planning tomorrow and if you're lucky next week as well.
. You can write the next chapter of your book.
. Get a pad with perforated edges you can also spend the time and write to your best friend, your mother or the traffic department.
. Load up your MP3 player with talking books, self-help CD’s and music and while away the hours doing something constructive rather than arrive at your destination frazzled and grumpy.
