Take small but measured steps

Sometimes it is easy to get overwhelmed by a BIG goal. Imagine that you want to save $10,000 to take the family on a holiday. Some of you may be able to take that amount out of cash flow, but for most of us, $10,000 is a big goal. But saving a few dollars a day can be quite easy....Did you know that a single cup of coffee bought every day can cost almost 1,000 dollars over a year? Well it does, a few decisions like not buying lunch every day, but taking it into work can get you well on the way to your goal. But try saving $10,000 in the last 3 months before the trip is happening....you'd wonder whether you had to take on a second job in order to reach your goal, or cancel the trip wouldn't you?

Or take the weight loss issue, can you lose 20 kilos in a couple of weeks? Of course not.  But you can lose a kilo or two a week, and sure enough over the course of several months you can lose the total amount of weight.

And what about that house you want to paint, or the book you want to write. Impossible targets when you are staring at the task in front of you. But wall by wall, page by page, anything is possible.

So take small measured steps today because those tiny steps repeated on a daily basis can bring you immense results.

Speak soon.

Goals are dreamlike, or should be. We should dream of what we want. but we need to realize that we are dreaming "in the present", understanding what resources we have "at the present". It is very difficult to see where we want to be, our dream, our goal, when we live in the present and yet want to believe, dream that we can have what we want in the future.
Dream big dreams, not little ones.
The bigger the dream, desire, want, craving, longing, yearning, the more we are apt to acheive the dream.
We need to keep the dream in mind, constantly, in order to realize the steps we are taking to achieve it.
Then we need to awake from the dreamlike state and act as if the dream is a reality. Act in every way that we possess the dream, and act to take the steps to achieve the dream.
Without action, dreams, desires and wants are just dreams.
