Getting prepared is all well and good

Some people mistake planning with doing.

Have you ever bought the exercise equipment, the sports clothes and then completely ignored them? Sooner or later the gadgets become a gathering place to hang things on - disguising the fact they are in the house. Why do we do that? Are we trying to hide them, so we don't get embarrased that we spent all that money on trying to get fit and then failing miserably to actually use them?

I have a stepper, it's directly behind where I am currently sitting. It's been in every room of the house, and no matter how many times I trip over the wretched thing, I rarely use it. I do actually prefer to run / walk or dance my way to a thinner me - but if pushed will get on and do 20 minutes or so. Why am I being so brutally honest? Well I know what you're doing, because I've either done it (or similar myself) or know someone who has. I have some great friends who are perfect case studies for Motivate Me - don't I Mark and James?

Ok, that's it for today - just another reminder, that you have to do as well as think about doing. What have you bought and never used? Make today the day when you give it a go, who knows you might actually enjoy the process.

With many thoughts

Today's thought to ponder

"I spent a fortune on a trampoline, a stationary bike and a rowing machine complete with gadgets to read my pulse, and gadgets to prove my program results, and others to show the miles I've charted - but they left off the gadget to get me started"
