Thanksgiving

In a few days our friends in the USA will be celebrating Thanksgiving (Canada having celebrated this feast day earlier in the year).

Thanksgiving (or Harvest Festivals) saying thank you to the earth that produces the food we eat, a chance to lay down supplies for the long winter months - seems like a wonderful thing to do (IMHO). Although, with pre-packaged everything (or so it seems) we have no need to lay down vast food stocks to last us through the cold months. After all the stores never seem to run out, and if we want - we can get virtually everything we want - shipped in from other places.

So I shall stop being practical and over analytical, as you know that is my nature - and say - for those of you in the North - enjoy the fruits of summer, say thank you to the people who have looked after you during the year, and prepare for the colder months. Be prepared to do indoor projects and work on personal and professional development activities. Get socially active through the many sites that are open to you and the rest of the world. Lay your plans like seeds for spring and start thinking about what you would like your spring to look like. What plans can you "plant" now - for harvesting next fall?
