Turn Blah, blah, blah into sell, sell, sell
I am struck by the comment made by Jim Carrey - "Constantly talking isn't necessarily communicating" and how true it is. People love the sound of their own voices, and their own opinions. Which is a good thing if you're in the business of selling something to another person....ask a few questions about the kinds of problems facing them at the moment...and you're almost there.
Because it is so easy to get someone to say yes to whatever it is you are selling if you have a solution to their particular problem. Of course if you don't - don't talk for the sake of filling the void with noise...no-one likes to listen to blathering....but you may know someone else who can help them, so - while you may not get a sale, you could be helping forge a future partnership, not only with the person you are speaking to, but with the person you are referring them to...because what goes around will surely come back to you at some point in the future.
