Trying times

The start of 2008 has been a difficult and trying time for myself and my family. As you know, my father passed away on the 2nd January, followed by his elder brother on the 22nd February. Today I received a call from my mum to say their sister died yesterday. My dad, uncle and aunt - 3 siblings in 4 months. It does make me want to ask - what would be the odds on that happening? I'd have to say that it would be rare indeed (under normal circumstances).

Today I have to confess that I am struggling with it all.

Today I am very glad I have had a lot of work to keep me occupied and very busy. Busy work, hardly inspiring but it has kept me from brooding too much.

Apologies if today's edition of the daily dose is hardly motivational. But I would just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that life is short, even at its longest. That your family, friends and loved ones can be taken away from you in a heart beat, and if you haven't spoken to them in a while, today should be the day that you do it. For no other reason than you can.

With love, light and a box of tissues

i am truly sorry for your loss. each of them deserves special attention. and i believe you are doing the right thing by keeping as busy as possible. even if you have to invent things to do.
there is no magic in my words, there is however feeling an a sense of camaraderie having had those experiences. continue to share your feelings if you see the need, cause that helps also. remember the good times, they often wil carry you through.
continue to do what you do, cause you do it better than anyone.

Hi Ralph,

Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot at times like this. And I would also like to say thank you for the work you are doing with your coaching. They are very lucky to have someone like you to help them.

All the very best
