New life

In amongst all the heart ache over the last few weeks, there is some good news that I would like to share with you. Two members of my extended family are going to be parents, which is a nice reminder that even dark clouds can have a silver lining.

So how are you all? I hope that readers in our nothern hemisphere are enjoying the beginning of spring. After a long and sometimes never ending winter it can be a blessing to see new shoots, new life and warmer days. I do enjoy the longer days and a chance to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. It always seems like I can do more when the sun is shining and a new life is being breathed into the world around me. I want to get out my goals and begin to work on them...and I do.

Which is rather interesting given that it is now Autumn "down under". My goals and my project focus has to change slightly. In fact I can actually get out into my garden and do some of the jobs that I simply can't do during the heat of a Perth summer. But the days are shorter, so the opportunities less, and so my thoughts turn inwards to new projects that need my attention.

Yesterday I struggled, yesterday I allowed my mind and my body to grieve the passing of my relatives. Today I can begin to celebrate the new life that has been created. Today I can begin to refocus my attention on those things that really matter to me. And yes - given that my relatives died at a relatively early age, one of the big things I am looking at is my health and fitness....again. It doesn't hurt to look, you may be doing just fine. But it doesn't hurt to look, to try something a little different. And that is the same with any goal that you say that you want to achieve. If you haven't managed to get as far as you thought you should, try looking at it from a slightly different angle. Ask "what else can I do?" "What can I do differently?"

With love and light

Thank you for listening and for sharing your thoughts and comments. I had hoped that by sharing my trials, troubles and problems, it may help others to know they are not alone - even though we may feel like we are. It's good to know it has helped, because it has helped me to re-focus and to get through the bad to see the good. So, deep breath - another day awaits.

Thank you
Elle
