Time management made simple
Do those things that need to be done if they:
1. Move you towards your goal line
2. Inspire you to grow
3. Bring some kind of reward
A word about the last point....money is not the only reward, but it should be noted as a good friend of mine says "there is an endless market for free services". And if you let them, people can and do take advantage of you, and the worst culprits are people you know and / or work with.
"could you just help me do so and so...it'll only take a minute."
"I need a hand"
Bear in mind that we only have a limited amount of time to devote to those things that we want to do. If you spend all your time for no visible "reward" you do have to ask - what's in it for you? Yes you can bask in the knowledge that you gave your time for no reason (sometimes not even a thank you) other than to help someone else who hasn't managed to organise themselves very well. But is that really the best use of your time?
So time management made simple ....
1. Decide what needs to be done (based on the above criteria) then
2. Decide whether it needs to be done by you, or done at all
3. Decide what you are not going to do from here on in....so you can focus your limited amount of time to doing those things that you do need to do and will help you achieve your goals.
Then of course you need to pick one of your task items and get on and do it. As my pole dancing instructor says - sometimes you have to stop thinking and allow your body to do, and once you do that, you'll be able to....(in my case spin properly)....what are your thoughts holding you back from doing?
