Choices
Every day we are faced with millions of tiny decisions. Those choices we make today will impact where we will be tomorrow. Over time, each tiny decision can be the difference between success or failure, and sometimes life and death.
If that sounds a little dramatic, consider the fact that we know eating too much food - take aways, trans fats, sugars, salts and everything else that is manufactured so it smells great and tastes better, will have an impact on our waist lines, and for some people - whether they will get heart disease, diabetes and other diseases. We know it, yet we still eat it.
Similarly every cigarette that is smoked could be the one that gives us lung cancer
Or every glass of alcohol will tip our liver a little further over the edge.
Now believe me when i say I am not telling you you can't eat what you want, smoke or drink - those are personal choices and I am not about to say what you can and cannot do with your body and money for that matter.
But there is one thing I would like you to think about. If every decision we make creates another dimension....then imagine what it would be like if you could see the person who didn't have that accident - instead of living life sitting down because you didn't put your seatbelt on, you're living another life, one where you could be playing footie with the kids and running marathons. Or the person who has always wanted to be an actress but didn't dare go to drama school because of what other people might think about her....and you're watching the oscars and there she is....
Well those dreams, images and people are there, they're just us....if we had made different choices and acted on those impulses.
Now i'm not saying the life you have now isn't good....just different. So next time you are faced with a decision - you can consider it, based on a different view point. Are you happy to continue along the path you are travelling or are you ready to try something else?
As always something to think about.
