Eliminating negative clutter

We are a week away from the official start of spring down-under. Ah, the time we are supposed to dust off the cobwebs and shine the spiders....or something like that. But spring is a good time to think about opening doors and windows to let the fresher air into our lives and homes.

Of course spring is also a good time to think about everything that has gathered dust over the winter months. And I consider our minds and bodies to be a very good place to start first.

Negative clutter builds up, just like normal clutter builds up around our homes. We can be guilty of thinking bad things when the days are short, we're constantly cold and can't be bothered to cook healthful foods. Spring on the other hand is a chance to think about what you want to keep in your body, your life and your homes. So, just like you give away those things that no longer fit, or no longer serve you...spring is definitely a time to do the same with those thoughts that litter your mind.

And ask yourself - what do you want to focus on from here on in?

Of course for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, you will be thinking about hibernating for a while. Autumn and winter are a good time to spend time with loved ones. Break out the board games, play those games you used to play when there was nothing on the television. And believe me when I say there was a time when there were only 3 channels and no channel changers....does that show how old I am...well in a couple of weeks I shall be celebrating yet another personal milestone. And a few weeks after that my mother comes out for a visit, so I have another reason to ensure my house looks the part. Anyone any good at curtain tracks???

As the cycle of the year turns for each and every one of us we are once again given the chance to decide what we want to achieve. We are well and truly on the run up to christmas and the new year. Are you on target to reach your goals by year's end? I thought I was, but now need to work just that little bit harder to get there on time.

As always a little bit of personal philosophy that I hope you can use to think about things in a slightly different way. So, no matter what part of the world you are in...today is a good day to shine your spiders !!!

With love and light
