Stop, Look and Think
What are you thinking? What is running through your mind? Is it filled with the detrius of working life, things you have to do, places you have to go, stuff you ought to get? If that's the case - you're running about the same as everyone else. Too many "things" competing for our attention.
What do you do when you get home from work / school?
Do you turn on the television and / or radio? Do you chat with your kids / spouse about their days? Do you get stuck straight into doing more "stuff"?
Again I would say you are batting about average.
As you know, there is a problem with that. If all you see are trees, how can you tell if you are in the right forest?
I will leave you with that thought and one from Professor Morrie Schwartz, he said:
"We're involved in trillions of little acts just to keep going. So we don't get into the habit of standing back and looking at our lives and saying 'Is this all?' 'Is this all I want?' 'Is something missing?'"
Taken from Tuesday's with Morrie, p65 by Mitch Albom
