Spontenaiety or careful planning

---------------------------
Today's daily dose: Spontenaiety or careful planning
---------------------------
Life should be fun. But it also needs to be carefully balanced. If you spend all your time on pleasure and no time working, doing homework or housework then your life is definitely out of whack.

But that's not what I want to speak about today believe it or not.

My question for you today is about the beginning of the week and the slide towards the weekends.

Do you start your weeks with great intentions, you eat well, remember to exercise and get plenty of sleep? What happens towards the weekends for most people, their good intentions start to go out the window. We tell ourselves we're tired and can't possibly cook a healthy dinner. We tend to drink and socialise more and any thoughts of exercise is gone.

Well with a bit of careful planning you can get through most of these hiccups.

At the beginning of the week when your commitment and energy is strong, why not cook an extra batch of dinners....and freeze them. That way you won't be tempted by the bad things on the way home. Fast food is hardly fast, you still have to wait in queues and wait for the food to be cooked...and because it's high volume, something tells me it won't be of the best nutritional quality. It tastes good though :-)

Its the same with exercise. If you stop and think about it, you can usually find all sorts of reasons not to do it. So get home, get changed and hit the road jack...or better still go to the gym before you get home, that way you can't not do the exercise...you're there for goodness sake. It's true of most gyms the world over....busy on a monday when everyone is feeling guilty, empty on a friday when everyone wants to play and have fun. Now I am not saying you can't play and have fun, just that sometimes it needs to be balanced.

With many thoughts
Elle
