It's time to ask the thief to leave
Have you ever had one of those days when you thought you were going to make massive inroads into your goal / task lists, but get to the end of the day and find you have achieved little or nothing in reality?
If you have - you have been visited by the time thief.
You've met the time thief many times, although he comes in many forms and guises. But the biggest time thief you can meet is sitting by you - he's always there - whispering in your ear. In fact next time you go to the bathroom and wash your hands - look up and say hello to him.
Every time we say we're gonna do ...
Every time we say - I'll do that in a minute
Every time we say - when the kids leave home, the bad food's gone, the bottle of wine is finished, the packet of cigarettes is empty, after I've checked my emails/ social notworking sites to see who's on....
Every time we allow other people to interrupt us with their inane chatter and goings on
Every time we don't play to our strengths
Every time we allow our goals and dreams to slip through our hands because we can't be bothered
Every time - we have allowed the time thief to visit, unfortunately for most people, he never leaves.
Isn't it time you packed your time thieves bags and showed him the door? Because until you do, you will always fall victim to his persuasive coercion. Ask him to leave, because it's time you got on with your life.
With many thoughts

100 day goal achievement challenge update: Day 75 - Quarter time
---------------------------
Are you still playing along with the 100 day goal achievement challenge? I hope so, because today is one of the major milestones to success.
Today is the quarter of the way through the challenge. Amazed at how fast 25 days can go? Why do you think most people never achieve anything of significance? The usual answer is because they think they've got forever to do what they want to do, when we know that is not the case at all. We know it can take day after endless day of repeating those success principles until finally the new habits are ingrained and we don't need a daily reminder to get on with what we know needs to be done.
Don't take the ostrich approach to yourself and your problems, sometimes you can't stick your head in the sand - you have to deal with the issues and problems head on. It's the only way you are going to overcome the problem. You can get someone to bail you out - but when that happens we are doomed to repeat the same failures - because WE didn't solve the problem the first time around - we think it's gone away - when it hasn't at all - because the heart of the problem lies right between our ears.
Make the next 25 days of the challenge the time when you really ramp up the amount of work you do each day. We need the constant push so we don't fall into the habit of doing slightly less today than we know we should.
