Where are you on the ladder of enlightenment?
- At any one time there will be people above you to whom you can look up to
- Then there will be people below you who will be looking up to you
- There will be people who can't be bothered to get onto the ladder at all. These are the same people who say everything is too hard and are fighting for space on the bottom rung.
- There will be people who will climb the ladder quickly and others who will labor over every step.
- And there will be people who think they are on the ladder of enlightenment, but you know they're not at all.
You know when you are on the ladder of enlightenment, when you get those "a-ha" moments, when everything clicks into place and you can move forwards - or in this case onwards and upwards. How do you get those "a-ha" moments?
- Be clear about your goals and what you want to achieve, and WHY you want to achieve them.
- It may be a piece of writing that finally clicks things into place for you
- It may be an inspirational piece of television or a conversation with someone
- It may be a quiet moment when you are ready to fall asleep, you've had an amazing day and that knowledge sends you to sleep with a self-satisfied smile.
Or it may be a combination of all of the above. But whatever you do - don't stop climbing the ladder.
With many thoughts
