Expectations are a double edged sword
If you expect to fail you most probably will
If you expect to do well, you may do just that
But if you expect things to change and do nothing to make it happen, or worse still stake your chances that someone will bail you out, or your numbers will coming up on lottery - then you are delusional.
When you begin anything new, you will experience a series of setbacks and growth curves and spurts. Never expect a new venture to work perfectly the first time around - no matter what it is....it does take hard slog and day after endless day of practising, trying again, falling down and getting back up again.
As I said to a friend recently - "you can only fail if you stop trying"
As you look at your current level of activity and moods, and your most recent past history - check your expectations against what worked and what didn't, against the successes and the failures and I'm sure you will agree - in 99.99% of the cases - (unless you really are delusional) your expectations were spot on.
So can you change your level of expectation?
Of course you can, you can change anything at all - if you want to
