Making progress with better lifestyle choices
"Most people would succeed in small things, if they were not troubled with great ambitions"
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
If your goal is too big and you are having trouble finding the motivation to start working on your plans every day. Remember this - every tiny decision you make right at this moment can make a difference in the long run. You can reach any goal - making the right kind of minute, minute-by-minute decisions.
You say you need to lose 40lbs - but don't want to diet for 20-40 weeks - well think of it this way - you will either be 40lbs lighter in 20-40 weeks or not. You should also bear in mind that a diet is not something you go on - it's something you live. Because as soon as stop dieting and start eating "normally" the weight will come back and then some. So, it's a lifestyle choice - not a diet.
And the same goes for anything - training to run a marathon - what do you do today? What do you do tomorrow? What happens the day after the race? Do you stop exercising completely? Or do you look towards the next goal item and start on that one?
Building a fortune starts with spending less than you earn, wise purchasing choices, joint ventures, compound interest and a desire to not spend the money. Again we are talking lifestyle choices.
What do you want your life to look like "When you get there"? Why not start to think about the different lifestyle choices you need to make in order to achieve that goal and then you will know whether what you are doing today is going to give you the lifestyle you say you want. Or not. It's your lifestyle choices that make the difference.

Now its off to the city to do some work.
Small decisions every one - alarm went off, could have stayed in bed and didn't. Could have made an excuse about it being too hot to walk - but I didn't. Could have had an unhealthy breakfast - but didn't. 2nd day of February - but it feels like the first day of the rest of my life.
