Motivation: Deciding what is important to you
It's easy to get distracted by every day life. Only by deciding what is truly important to you will you make the decision to change self defeating behaviours to ones that work for you.
If you keep telling yourself you will go on that diet - when all the food is gone from the cupboard whilst absent mindedly stuffing a bag of chips into your mouth - you'll never do it. You can't keep fooling yourself into thinking things will get better when the time is right. There is no right time, the only time is now. So today I need you to decide what is important for you to achieve by the end of today. Are you willing to let distractions get to you. Are you willing to get to the end of today and say - well I sat on my butt and played xyz game all day. I improved my score but my homework didn't get done - but hey that doesn't matter. Only you can decide what matters.
And then of course, once you have decided what matters - will you get on and do what you need to do. You see if it matters to you, you will do it. If you can't be bothered to do it - then it obviously doesn't matter does it.
