Planning ahead: Make each day a productive one

You may not get stuck in traffic going to work. You may not miss your train / bus. You may not be kept waiting for an appointment or meeting. But then again you might.

Are you prepared for downtime that is of none of your making? Or are you just going to sit there and fume?

If everything seems like it is out of your control, and there is nothing you can do to change whatever circumstances you are faced with, then you need to think about being a little bit more organised for next time.

When will you know when there will be a next time. Well you don't - but that doesn't mean you can't be prepared for it.

  1. Make sure you have something good to listen to on the car stereo or your personal MP3 player.
  2. If you have little people with you, then just as you make sure they have food, drinks and toys to keep them amused - do the same thing for yourself.
  3. Carry at least one notebook and a pen so you can make plans and jot down suggestions for great business ideas, book treatments, or why not spend the time writing some letters.

As always many thoughts for a much more productive day
