My Inspirational Book List
I have been asked by a few people, what books are on my shelf of inspiration, the books I can pick up and read when I feel the need to reconnect with who and what I am, and what I would like to do, be and achieve. So, I thought I would share my list with you. Now I'm not saying you should buy them, let alone read them - but if you do, then that's fantastic.
I read an interesting statistic the other day, i'm sorry I can't remember where it came from - just one of the many articles that pass over my computer screen each week. But it said - the average adult American reads less than one book a year. My first thought was - that's interesting. My second thought was - well if they're not reading books, what are they filling their minds with?
You see I am a firm believer that if you don't stimulate your thinking you won't grow, you won't learn and the next 5 years will be the same as the last 5. I am also a great believer in the thought that what goes into your mind comes whooshing straight out of your mouth.
So - a question as always - what are you talking about? What are you thinking about? Am I saying you shouldn't watch TV or read tabloid mags - of course not. But like all things your reading needs balance too. So make this week a week you will challenge your mind and read something a little different.
And before you say - books are expensive, there are lots of free resources. Check out the links at - http://www.motivateme.info/links - there's a list of links to free books online - about half way down. Oh and the other place to get free books - your local library. You do have to give these ones back, but imagine being given the chance to read hundreds and thousands of books for nothing more than your time to go and choose them.
Anyway I thought I would share with you a small part of my inspirational book list:

As you will see, it's a wide and extremely varied collection. And if I can give you one piece of advice when it comes to choosing your "reading" books - choose things that stretch your mind, make you question what you currently believe. Isn't that the way we grow?
