Regret is a six letter word

I know there are other six letter words out there, but few strike panic into my heart and soul so much as the word "regret".

* I do not want to get to the end of today and regret anything. I want to take every opportunity I am given and run like the wind with it.

* I want to get to the end of this week and not regret any of my actions, or words that I have spoken.

* I want to get to the end of this month and not regret missed opportunities - no matter how small or insignificant they may have seemed at the time. Remember the $ a day thing...a month = $30...small actions repeated daily = BIG results.

* I want to get to the end of 2009 having made some major inroads into my goals and projects and completed many items off the list. If I don't I will regret the wasted time and wonder what on earth I had spent so many fruitless hours not working on.

* But most importantly I don't want to get to the gates of heaven only to find myself being turned away because I wasn't good enough. The angels would stand before me with a set of scales, they had placed opportunities on one side, and all those opportunities I had failed to take on the other - and on balance, I had failed to live up to my true potential.

We may think the odd major success will counter all the minor regrets, believe me when I say - they probably won't.

If the angels were to balance your success with your regrets, which side would weigh more?

Remove the word "regret" from your vocabulary and live beyond your potential.

It's like RENT:
"There's only us, there's only this. Forget regret, or life is yours to miss. No other road, no other way - no day but today."
