Organisation overcomes the procrastination habit

I love being organised. Sunday's are to me the best day of the week for getting plans together. When I am organised on a sunday the rest of the week goes so much more smoothly.

In just a few hours today I have:

*Fetched in laundry, sorted, folded and put away (remember - no ironing if there is no need),
*Organised my clothes for work tomorrow, and my gym gear is packed and ready to go in the car.
*Organised my week of basic lunch staples are in another bag and ready to go (if you organise your lunch foods - you won't need to buy any - which saves you money)....so tins of tuna, crackers - fresh things of course will be picked up each day as I leave the house.
* Organised a parcel of birthday goodies for three people. But here is another time saver - I send them all to my mum and she gets to distribute them for me - saves postage too. Mum doesn't mind playing post person as she is a very fit and active lady and gets out to see the family at the same time. And I know mum is getting some exercise as well !! and
* Weeded some of the garden
* Organised some banking (online)
* And laid the plans for a new business idea for Motivate Me.

Each item didn't take more than a few minutes to do, but the cumulative effect is amazing. I have saved myself a considerable amount of time and money as a result - consequently I feel in control of myself and my environment.

Which means I can concentrate on you.

* What benefits would you get from being more organised?
* What simple things can you do today that would mean you are not rushing around tomorrow morning making yourself late for work - and putting yourself under immense pressure?

One final thought for this wonderful sunday - set your alarm for 10 minutes earlier tomorrow and if you don't already do this - make yourself a healthy breakfast. Kick start your working week in the right way and the rest of your week will slot into place.

I think this is a very helpful post. I truly desire to be more motivated and less of a procrasinator. My office looks like a cyclone hit it...so when I need to get something done in it I can never find what I need. I will work on getting it organized today. Also have a meeting at 12 so will be ready by 11:30 to leave for that.
