The power of a single action

Little things can be a major catalyst.

  • Seeing your weight creep up pound by pound on the scale - at what point do you say - I am not gaining one more pound I am going to do something about my weight once and for all.
  • Getting fit starts with making an appointment at your local gym, or buying a pair of training shoes, putting them on and going for a nightly walk around the block. When you see the muscles in your legs start to firm up, then you may decide to enlist the help of a gym or personal trainer. What stops people from exercising isn't usually injury - but thinking they don't have the time. everyone has the time, it just depends what is important to you.
  • Saving a million dollars can start with just one dollar a day...over the years and with the help of cumulative compound interest you can save a million.
  • Writing a book can and does start with a single word on a page and an idea you have to share your view of the world with everyone else.
  • You can only read a book one word at a time...or anything else for that matter.
  • A dissertation can be completed one section at a time

Great things can and do start with very small actions. All it takes is a determination that you will start and then continue until you have reached your goal.

What small things are you doing today that will make a difference to your life in a week's time / month / year or five years?
