Take the hourglass approach to problem solving
June 16, 2009 at 18:49 Life can be overwhelming, it may seem like there is just too much to do and no time do it in.
Well - consider the hourglass - only one grain of sand can move through the opening at any one time, the others have to wait their turn, but they will follow when the one preceding it has gone.
If you can see only problems then your "sand" will not move through the hourglass it will be stuck. But if you take just one item at a time and work on it, for just a few minutes, then you will have moved both "it" and you forwards.
But before you can do any of that - you do need to know what your problem areas are. And then you can find the solutions, because as soon as you focus on the solution rather than th problem, ways forward will become obvious. You may hear something, see something or read something that will help you, all you have to do is be open to the solution.
You see the beauty of the future, it comes to us one grain of a second at a time and each micro decision that we make can move us on by days.
