Pushed to the limit

If I asked you to do 200 situps now, how many would you be able to do?

Would you be willing to try?
Would you say "that's not possible and I'm not even going to try?"

How long would it be before you gave up?

The truth is, most people would be able to do 200 situps or ab crunches over the course of about half an hour. But I can almost guarantee if you had to push yourself to do them you wouldn't bother. I can almost guarantee you would give up when it started to hurt a little.

How do I know you can do about 200 situps or ab crunches in about half an hour? Well myself and my fellow trainees were pushed to do that this morning. Along with another 2 minutes of body bridge (plank) 15 minutes of cardio and another 15 sets of weight bearing exercises...all in about half an hour.

The difference is - we are trained in a group (circuit class style) by a personal trainer and he tells us what he wants us to do. Whilst he doesn't scream or yell he does motivate us to do the exercises, even when they do hurt and we want to stop. And that's the difference I feel. If we did everything ourselves without the support and motivation of someone like a personal coach, mentor or trainer we can easily slack off during the course of a day, let alone a week.

So - if you are having trouble in a certain area it is worth finding out if someone can push you on to the next level. I can do my bit of course and I will. But really it is now down to you.

What area(s) can you identify that needs a little extra push to get the results happening?

With many thoughts
Elle
