Expectations are for leaders
"Give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others." This comment came from author Christian D Larson and it is such a wonderful philosophy on life that I ask you to consider it as something to take on board.
* When we expect great things from ourselves, we rise to the challenge...and conversely the opposite is also true.
* When we commit to life long learning, we are willing to admit that today we don't know it all.
* When we commit to honesty and integrity in all our business dealings, we know we will sleep well at night - as to everyone else - well that's up to them. People may get rich by using other people who for whatever reason - believed in the hype, didn't read the small print or trusted too blindly, but these kinds of people will always suffer as a result. I am a great believer in the karmic rules. Now that may sound like I don't want to get rich or make money - not at all, but I will endeavor to ensure every business dealing I undertake is ethical and honest.
* When we commit to honesty and integrity in ourselves, then everything else follows.
* When we have high expectations for ourselves, and are willing to do whatever it takes to live up to those expectations, then others will take note. We do not need to ask for respect, but we will surely get it when we see others emulating our behaviors and successes and follow in the path we have set.
Do you expect great things from yourself?
