Are your goals a perfect 10?

When you have purpose you move faster.

Let's face it, what is the point in rushing if you have no idea where you are going and what you are going to do when you get there.

No, when you have purpose, you move faster, you walk quicker, you have a spring in your step and a smile on your face. You know what you want and nothing and no-one is going to get in your way. Problems are side-stepped with ease and you shrug off the minor hiccups.

When you don't have purpose, everything is far more deliberate. When you walk, you do so with eyes on the pavement rather than in front of you...molehills become mountains and minor problems become dramatic issues that only YOU can deal with *puts back of hand to forehead* sorry I just had to say that. But take the drama out of that last statement just for a moment and you can probably equate to those very comments. When you don't have purpose, when you don't know what you want and have no idea about how to start - then everything is a major issue.

So what do you do?

I remember I asked you to go back to your goal list a little while back. In that list lies the seeds of your purpose and meaning for this part of your life, because as we grow, change and develop the goals, dreams, hopes and ambitions change, and with it our purpose.

So, get out the list - and mark everything from a 1 - don't know why it's on the list to a 10 - cannot live without - and start work. Take the items with numbers 1 -3 on them and if you cannot change them into a 6 or better still a 7-9 - then delete them and move on. What you need are the items that inspire you to get up in a morning, and you find those in the ones you marked 7 and above. Then take one of those items and ask yourself a couple of questions:

1. What would happen if this goal was NEVER achieved?
2. What can I do in the next few minutes to move it forwards?

Of course these will be moderated for politeness as are all comments made to Motivate Me as there is nothing worse than reading rants on random topics.

We currently have forums for:

If you would like additional forums can you let me know and I will add them...sorry you can't do that bit.

Have fun.
