Has your get up and go, got up and gone?

I am a great believer in the premise that sometimes you do have to get up and get going even if you really don’t want to.

There are some days when even I can’t seem to get started in a morning. It’s a struggle to get out of the warm bed, especially on a cold morning. It’s hard to have a shower and get ready for the working day when you are not feeling 100%. So what do you do when you’re faced with those kinds of scenarios?

Well first and foremost, if it’s not going to warm up in the next 10 minutes – then it’s not worth the additional sleep in time, which will more often than not, put you back for the entire day if you decide to hit the snooze button repeatedly.

The second thing I would recommend is a quick inventory of how you are feeling. If you don’t feel 100% determine why.

Did you:

· Drink too much last night?
· Did you eat too much, too late so your body was awake all night processing the foodstuffs you consumed, which kept you awake?
· Did you go to bed too late?
· Are you coming down with something? Assuming it’s not a hangover or other substance processing issue, which is self-inflicted, sometimes we don’t feel very well – because we’re not. So – a quick and honest inventory is required. Every day we have a chance to redefine “normal” if today is not a good day – why not? But a caveat, this is not a chance to pretend you are feeling ill – so you can get out of going to work/school. How old are you?
· Do you dislike your job? The journey? The people who work there? The organization?

With regards to your job – if you really don’t like it and are struggling to get going and get enthusiastic every day of the week – I would suggest you start looking for a new job. But with a caveat – do not change jobs and take your attitude with you. Most people, when you talk to them will always find something wrong with an organization, but if you find yourself saying that about more than one organization you’ve worked for – I’d suggest you either have a knack of finding really bad employers to work for. Or – you need an attitude adjustment.

How do you deal with those days when it's a struggle to get going?

a very honest and straight experience of mine,
when absolutely nothing works and I get frustrated,
I find a lonely place relate things that are going to make me feel even worse,
and i cry up my heart, when tired I get back to my routine,
believe me this has done wonders,
also believe me this has made me a sadist.......
So a request never think crying will make you feel good.......

i reward myself with a big cup of coffee, wearing my favourite sweater, or buying lunch instead of making it. small personal rewards make it a little easier but i have to make sure i don't reward myself all the time otherwise they're no longer special.
